Eight more new ghats will enhance the half-moon shape of the Uttar Vahini Ganga. A blueprint has been prepared for developing raw ghats under Smart City. Ghats will be rejuvenated after the civic elections. The project will cost around Rs 10 crore. After their development, the number of ghats in Varanasi will increase to 93. This will give a boost to tourism.
The increasing popularity of the new form of Namo Ghat and the exercise of connecting water transport with the road has further expanded the chain of Ganga Ghats. Smart City has selected raw ghats from Assi and Rajghat, which will be fully developed. Along with this, new centers of tourism will be built. These ghats will be connected by water transport. New ghats are being designed by Smart City.

Helicopter will fly from Namo Ghat
Smart City has prepared Namo Ghat with about Rs 60 crore. The construction of its Phase-2 is going on. Heliport is also being built. According to the plan, two helicopters will take off from the heliport, which will go to Ayodhya and Prayagraj. With this there is a possibility of Namo Ghat emerging as a big center of tourism. , It is from here that water transport will be further expanded.
